Valentino Memorial for 2015

On the new website you will soon be able to learn the history of this wonderful event, started by loyal fans on the first anniversary of his passing, and is still going strong even today.

This year on August 23rd we will be saluting the 90th anniversary of the landmark Valentino film "The Eagle" as well as his famed United Artists contract.  Lots of good things to be announced as time draws near!.  Make plans to attend, This unique historic service dedicated to remembering the life of one remarkable man - RUDOLPH VALENTINO

I am delighted to be a part of it and this year marks my 20th service.  My 2nd year they didn't even have chairs for the people, there were only 12 or so people there! I thought I was witnessing the end and felt I needed to get involved.  Presto! In the past several years the place is packed and standing room only!   The crowds have grown larger and larger. In 2004 my book Valentino Forever came out that tells the long history of this event.

Valentino Forever . Com - Returning Soon!

My website Valentino Forever . com has been dormant the last 36 months. Due to several private emails encouraging its return, they wanted the truth to be told .  The people have spoken!   I am glad to announce that the site is, as we speak, being 100% revamped, expanded and you will soon see its triumphant return.  It will give insight to all things and aspects regarding the Valentino Memorial.

It will all be told. The people, the drama,  -  all the players in the almost 90 year history of the  Valentino Memorial Service.  George Ullman will take his correct place in the lineup of  an updated "Who's Who" section, along with the much beloved Luther Mahoney, the less loved Pola Negri, Jean Acker and many others.

Valentino Forever

I am proud to say that my book  VALENTINO FOREVER the definitive book on the history of the Rudolph Valentino Memorial Service is going into its 11th year of publication and shows no signs of stopping.  I can tell from the swell in numbers of people who have attended in recent years that Valentino is, indeed forever.  The Memorial Service is treasured Hollywood tradition that, contrary to opinion was never conceived by S. George Ullman, however he did attend numerous of the Valentino Memorials the last documented visit was 1965 which was a decade before his passing. I am in custody of all of the back and forth correspondence between S. George Ullman and Ditra Flame.  No where does he ever mention or indicate that he conceived of the idea of the Valentino Memorial.   Now you know the TRUTH.
